Josh grew up in the Inland Northwest of Eastern Washington.  Graduating High School in Colville, WA. Josh continued his education at North Idaho College in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, where he was a walk on athlete for the wrestling team.  From there, he attended the University of Idaho,completing his undergrad and Masters degree in Recreation Management.  Josh has nearly 20 years of experience in the recreation and youth development profession.  His passion for his career began when he first served at a summer resident camp during college as an Assistant Program Director.  That first summer camp experience made a huge impact on his life which drives his "Why" to this day.  Josh's professional career has included working as a Recreation Supervisor for Moscow Parks and Recreation in youth programming and aquatics; as a Senior District Executive and Camp Director for the Boys Scouts of America; and as a Director of Resource Development for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lewis Clark Valley before starting at the YMCA of the Palouse as the Director of Programs in 2019.  Josh has three children named Jeremiah, Angela, and Chloe, who are all now young adults.  He and his wife, Jessica, live near Genesee, Idaho where they enjoy the country life on a small farm.  Josh's wife, Jessica, works at WSU's College of  Veterinary Medicine as an Assistant Professor in integrative medicine.  They both share a love of the Palouse area communities and are blessed for the opportunity to serve.
